We were fully staffed, but following a last minute drop out we have 1 role to fill for this upcoming winter!

We are looking to fill:

Driver & Chalet Host -Immediate start… no later than 4th Jan!

Accommodaton, lift pass, food and travel (if required) provided.

We are looking for a customer focused hard worker to fit in with an experienced team.

You’d be a key player in supporting our hosts and wider team, setting up for breakfast, supporting and serving dinner, plus snow clearing, hot tubs and driving slope shuttles. Ideally airport transfers if you have the experience.

You’d be working with a great group of guys, all keen to hit the pow and ski tour.

Valley Fever will be entering our 11th winter this year, operating on the same principles that have served us well since 2009. We are passionate and 100% dedicated to the guest experience and we like to get the small things right with good listening and solid planning, backed up of course by tasty food.

Our hosts, drivers and planning team are the key to this and invaluable to our business, so we seek to recruit experienced, confident and outgoing people, those who value a two way conversation, are dedicated to customer service, and have preferably completed a season already.

We look after them well too, with a 5 day working week, a high standard of seasonal accommodation, a full area MBU lift pass, travel, food and a competitive wage.

If our roles interest you then it’s your attitude that is the most important thing to us. We can teach you most things you’ll need to know but we can’t teach your personality or desire to do what it takes to get the job done.

We want you to get the most out of your season, so keen skiers or boarders are preferred, and we pride ourselves in helping you achieve your winter goals.

In advance of December we are recruiting into the following positions and still have some roles still to fill:

Individual Chalet Host – running a chalet up to 8 guests with support

Driver & Chalet Host – a combined job, working closely with the chalets hosts at breakfast and evening meal plus in addition you’ll complete slope shuttles, Geneva Airport Transfers, hot tub maintenance and snow clearing.

Planning & Operations – this role could be based locally in Chamonix or in the UK, and is responsible for all advanced planning via direct guest contact, including lift pass ordering, transfer schedules and bookings, ski lessons bookings, ski hire reservations and creating briefing packs to communicate to our team. An opportunity exists to be the face of management and lead on operations for the right person if based in Chamonix.

Working closely with us, but taking full ownership of our chalets we like to give our team the support & training required but we’ll also give you the freedom to add your personality to Valley Fever.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience in winter ski roles or similar (not your first job from school or uni)
  • A positive attitude
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A good problem solver
  • A passion for the mountains
  • A passion for customer service and patience to deal with guests
  • The right to work legally in France
  • Knowledge of French is a bonus

It is hard work, so you’ll need to be very flexible and you never quite know what’s around the corner – sometimes a blocked toilet but sometimes a bluebird powder day! You’ll be likely to meet friends that last a lifetime and memories to share along the way.
